Incorrectly titled initial job announcement, contacted by administrator, interviewed by VP of Operations who suggested I apply for a different and higher position, interviewed by Manager, offered a different and better position, the second interview was fairly unnecessary and seemed a filler step to verify if the particular manager would get along with the new hire

What would you do if your biggest client (the company's most important client) threatened to leave if revenues were late and you realize that revenues are down after an internal error? How would you salvage the situation while not lying to the client (knowing that you could lose them)?
