      I interviewed at Cobham

      Interview

It seemed to be a mixture of general and technical questions, prepare for the interview in advance, read the job description and plan to answer questions in relation to the job.

      Question 1

      Discuss my experience and background
      Answer question

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cobham in Mar 2015

      Interview

I had a technical interview with four or maybe five engineers on the same call. It was very disorganized and people kept dropping in and out of the call session, so I had to repeat myself a lot. One engineer had very poor call quality and I couldn't understand any of his questions. The questions were primarily about my resume and engineering experience with one technical question thrown in. I presume I didn't get the position since that was about a month ago and no one has bothered to even call me or e-mail me to let me know. They are very unprofessional and disorganized. I wouldn't recommend even bothering to interview with them, let alone work for them.

I think the guy I couldn't hear asked me to name the fundamental qualities of an Op-Amp. Maybe?

      Engineer Interview

      21 Nov 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Cobham in Feb 2013

      Interview

Applied online and received a call from HR asking general questions about pay, benefits, ect. He set up a time for me to meet with the hiring manager for a phone interview. The phone interview was okay as far as the questions go, but I could tell that the hiring manager was not interested in me based on his phone mannerisms. He was very short and at the end of the interview he did not even ask me if I had any questions for him. A couple of weeks went by and I heard nothing from the company. I call and emailed HR asking for an update but never received a response. While it was just a phone interview, I did take time out of my day to talk to them, and I believe I deserved an email stating why they rejected me. Not emailing a candidate to let them know they were not accepted for this position shows a lack of professionalism with this company.
