      Barista Interview

      22 Feb 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Coffee Culture in Jan 2019

      Interview

Applied online through Indeed, got an email within an hour asking about my availability. Was then asked to come in the next morning for an interview. Was offered the position a day later but ended up turning it down because I didn't have the best feeling about it. The job posting said there were daytime shifts available and came to find out that the job was only for closing shifts (5pm-10pm during the week, 5pm-11pm on weekends) because they have full-time employees who work Monday to Friday. Only potential for daytime hours was if a full-time person wanted a day off or for extra help during lunch. They do not follow standardized training, you just follow a full-time employee around. Explained the position and learned that the cost for your apron/shirt come out of your pay, need non-slip shoes, only get food discount during your shift, and it is minimum wage.
