The agency called me for a position at Cognex. The company is in Cork and I live in Dublin. After reviewing the job spec I considered the position quite interesting so I said to the recruiter to send my CV to the company. The day after I was called because they wanted to interview me in Cork (3 hours from Dublin!!) and in my opinion it was unnecessary to get there considering that we could use Skype. So I had to take one day off. I arrived at the interview a bit late(I said to the agency to alert Cognex of my delay) because of the buses and without having the time to eat. I was supposed to meet two managers but when I arrived only one was available because the other one was busy doing another interview. No problem. I had a back-to-back the interview with 2 different persons. At the end of my interview, one of them told me that the hiring manager was still busy doing a Skype interview(?) with another candidate so we had to arrange a Skype interview with her for the following week. The week after I called the agency telling my availability for the interview. She told me that she would have contacted me once she had received an answer from them. So I waited some days and at the end she called me telling that I did I really good interview but unfortunately I did not have enough experience for the role. My question is: Did you read my CV before telling to go to Cork? I suppose that you saw my work experience so if you believe that I did not have the necessary experience for the role why did you tell me to go to Cork? I had a really bad experience with this company, I wasted money, energy and time for nothing.
