I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Coinbase (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2022
Interview
Straightforward and typical interview loop.
First round is with HR, just a screen. There's a SQL screen, a Python coding component (where you are given a dataset and have to generate a model and scoring metrics), presentation, behavioral, as well as a product intuition part.
At the later stages I interviewed with specific teams to explore fit.

Question 1
SQL medium questions - make sure you know window functions.
There were 6 interviews and a cognitive assessment, spaced out over 3 months - a recruiter screen, tech screen, communication and organisation, live coding interview, team fit, then a presentation on a take home assignment that takes a few days to put together. Was ghosted by the recruiter after the final round, any attempts to get information on the interview was met with claims that they were still making decisions. Incredibly unprofessional on their part, would not recommend this interview process to anyone.

Question 1
It's common to have 50-60 hour weeks in this role, would you have any issues with that?
