I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at College Works Painting (Santa Cruz, CA) in Feb 2014
Interview
I went through a serious of Phone calls and interviews and once I was selected to move on to the next step everything was explained to me as far as where to move on from there. Before the Final interview i got a chance to speak to some of the previous Alumni who had done the internship and the past and ask about their experiences. The Final interview was in person.

Starts with a phone screening, then Goes into an information session. Eventually you get to do a reverse interview and ask your questions as well as share information about yourself, from there are multiple formal interviews.
Straight forward and informative. You go through a couple of rounds of group interviews and then a phone call with the VP. Then an in-person interview at some location (Probably not now with covid).

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at College Works Painting (Detroit, MI) in Dec 2021
Interview
3 rounds, one with district manager, one with President, and another I forgot. They like to hire people who played sports in high school and people who work hard. Ask if you have transportation and make sure you understand the internship is a painting business where you go D2D for leads.
