I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Commonwealth of Learning (Vancouver, BC) in Nov 2025
Interview
Applied online and took 8 weeks for them to come back to schedule an initial interview. It all got really messy from here. The seems to confused am vs pm in their proposed time slot (proposed some slots for 9-10pm, not at all acknowledging why). They did not at all mention what this interview will be about, who will be there etc, just "we want to explore your experience further in a short phone call". Then come the interview, it was only 30 minutes and was advised that this is only an initial interview, expected multiple rounds to come. 2 senior people joined the call, not introduced about themselves and jumped straight to asking questions very specific about their problem (in a very hard to understand way) and how to address those, as if they are interviewing an internal candidate and for a technical round. They didn't even spend time to learn about the candidate or their skills. Then the HR person shut the call down not even giving me a chance to ask any question (she seems to completely forgot about it even though she mentioned there will be space to ask question). Overall very weird and messy process. Why call it a short phone call to understand about my experience when you don't even give me much chance to do so? I know as a candidate I should prepare for whatever my come up in the interview, be it first round or final round and I admit this is not what I expected and very misleading process and communication. Expect a very messy working style based on this initial experience. I lost all interests in this organization after reading their bad employee reviews and my engagement with their process.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Commonwealth of Learning (Vancouver, BC) in Aug 2021
Interview
After submitting the application online, I got a phone call to set up the next step. I had an in-person interview with the HR manager. My direct manager was on a business trip, so she did not join the interview.

Question 1
Tell me about your experiences that match the job titles.
Like a previous interviewer said, this is one of those employers that does not have the common decency to follow up with candidates they've interviewed (after three interviews!), and in the end I found out that they gave the position to someone already working there. Very disrespectful of other people's time, so I'd recommend that good candidates avoid such an organization.
