I applied to the job posting at the end of April (learned about it from indeed.com or workopolis..I can't remember). The deadline to apply was April 30th.
I received a call a week later on a Thursday inviting me to an interview for Tuesday.
I was interviewed by two people (HR and a program manager). Very relaxed and comfortable interview.
The job positions available were discussed with me (there were a few positions open and I was interested in working for the company and was interested in any position). They discussed the union, rates of pay, vacation time, different homes in the area, expectations, general overview of some of the people they support, etc.
There were the standard interview questions (about who you are, what you have done, accomplishments, strengths, what you can bring to the job, etc).
The second part of the interview included situational/behavioural-based questions (examples of when you've had to face a conflict, difference of opinion, improved services, etc).
I signed the check references form, and they said they would let me know either way by hopefully Friday (depending on how long reference checks take- they had interviews on Tuesday & Wednesday).
I received a call on Thursday afternoon, offering me a relief support position!
