I was initially enthusiastic about the opportunity and the company’s mission. However, my interview experience left me disappointed. The interviewer arrived late and explained the delay by saying the previous candidate “kept talking,” which made me feel rushed and hesitant to speak freely—despite the scheduled 45-minute time slot.
The conversation also focused heavily on internal disorganization, which shifted the tone away from what I expected for a role centered around employee experience and culture. It made it difficult to envision this as a place where onboarding and people-focused initiatives are prioritized.
I ultimately left the interview feeling discouraged. I hope the team takes steps to better align the candidate experience with the company’s values and goals.
