Initially, the recruiter called and left a message stating that she wanted to talk to me about the position. She didn't set up an appointment for a phone screen, instead, when I returned the call pretty quickly, it turned into a phone screen/initial interview. So, I advise to not pick up any call from the CompTIA office after you apply, instead, when you do return the call, be prepared to just start interviewing. There is a lack of transparency on CompTIA's part regarding salary range, don't expect straight-shooters. I did go through a second round. It is noted that the person who was hired for this position did not meet the specified experience requirements--so if you are looking at this, apply for any position at CompTIA regardless of the job requirements. It will be based on chemistry with the hiring manager.
