I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ConocoPhillips in Sept 2017
Interview
An interviewer began by introducing the formality of the discussion (wanted it to be very conversational and not too formal). The process was to go down my resume and discuss aspects of it that stood out. After learning about me from my resume, the interviewer went on to ask behavioral questions, and finally ended with me asking questions. The process was very smooth and facilitated productive discussion, allowing me to learn about the company and for the interviewer to learn about me.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you had conflicting priorities.
Were kind and catered towards my location preferences. There were 2 interviewers and the environment seemed open ended. Easy conversation. They asked a few questions about myself, and wanted to know what I am looking to gain in the future.

They asked about previous experiences in other internships and why I am exploring other companies.
STAR method interview. Interview held on college campus followed by a second round interview which was broken down into 3 rounds each lasting an hour. Interview was straightforward and the interviewers did a good job at making you feel comfortable.
I interviewed at ConocoPhillips (Midland, TX) in Sept 2023
Interview
Very easy on campus interview, was 30 minuets long and it was only behavioral questions. Received a call from a recruiter the next week with an offer letter for an internship.
