I had a phone interview and the way it ended, based on the words that were said to me by the recruiter, it seemed like I would hear something back about next steps. A month and a half later, I looked online on the applicant portal and my application was still “in progress”. Finally, 2 months later, I received the generic thanks for your interest rejection email. I’m surprised that it took this long, for one, because I know this role they are always hiring for because I am assuming due to turnover rate, and two, Shawn Premer their CHRO is very well known throughout Michigan… so you would assume they would have better recruiting practices. Overall, they ask your basic interview questions such as your experience, “would you be comfortable selling products to customers”, behavioral/culture fit questions, and their biggest one it seems “what is your volunteer experience” or something along those lines. I am a mom to a disabled child and a college student, and I feel they negatively judged me for only having PTO volunteer contribution.
