Did a short phone screening with the accounting manager. Then got called onsite for an in person interview. Filled out some employment paperwork they gave me when I came in and then the accounting manager asked me some general questions about my past experience and what this position entails. I felt pretty optimistic that I would get the job because after filling out the form they gave me, the accounting manager told me to go do a drug test at a nearby doctors office and when I finished the drug test, to give him a call back and let him know. I thought that when an employer asks you to do a drug test after an interview it usually means you got an informal offer from them. But I was wrong. I gave the accounting manager a call right after the drug test to say I did it and he said that they should have the results within 2-3 days and he would call me to talk about the next steps right after the results came in. Days and eventually weeks went by after i did the drug test but I never got a call back from the accounting manager with the next steps. I called them back after about a week to ask them why its taking so long but they were trying so hard to avoid this matter all together and saying to call back later as the manager is very busy. I never received a call back from them and this really irritated me because they made me do a drug test for no reason and really got my hopes up that I got the job. All just to waste my time. For reference I never smoke or do any drugs so I am 100% certain I passed the drug test. So this would not be a reason why they dident call me back. Even if I failed the drug test the right thing would have been to call back or email saying we cannot move forward with the next steps of the hiring process due to the drug test results. If the interview went bad on their end they could have just made it easy and said we will be in touch with next steps and not make me do anything further. Overall, this interview process was a complete waste of time and it just shows their general lack of professionalism and honesty. This just shows that they are very disorganized and do not even bother to follow up with what they initially said they would do. I would not recommend wasting your time with this company because you will simply get ghosted.
