The hiring process started off with an initial phone call with the hiring manager, then an onsite interview with some of the staff I would be possibly working with. My final interview was a demonstration of my presentation skills. This process took about four weeks.
I would say that everything went as expected, great communication up until after my final interview. I was very disappointed on the communication after, they informed me that a manager would be contacting me about next steps early in the week. After a week went by and no contact from anyone, I reached out to my main point of contact and the hiring manager asking for an update which went unanswered. They basically ghosted me.
After about a month of no contact, I applied for a position at a staffing agency which to my surprise, was a the exact same position I applied for originally. So, I at least got a little closure with the job. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they may have jumped the gun with telling me that a manager would be reaching out to me with next steps but, I would of appreciated some transparency since I put four weeks of my time into this company.
Overall, the interview process went well but after, the ghosting was very unprofessional especially finding out that I didn't get the job by a staffing agency which, wasn't involved in the process from the beginning.
