Three interviews - first was with the hiring manager, then the geneticist, then I shadowed the workflow. Everything was completed within 2 months. Overall, was an easy process and was kept in the loop throughout.
Yes, during clinicals I was assigned to complete a full head-to-toe assessment on a patient who was not very cooperative and gave minimal responses. I found it challenging because I needed accurate information, but communication was limited.
To manage this, I adapted my approach by being patient, using simple and clear questions, and relying more on observation and physical assessment skills. I also reviewed the patient’s chart and collaborated with my preceptor to fill in any gaps.
Even though it was difficult, I was still able to complete a thorough assessment and ensure the patient’s needs were addressed. This experience taught me how to stay flexible, use multiple resources, and remain calm when situations aren’t ideal.”
Interviews took weeks to schedule, and I never heard any response. Had to follow up multiple times with HR to get any updates. Overall process, had a screening call with the hiring manager and an in-person interview. The in-person interview took around 3 hours and had a data component to it. A lot of questions on past experiences.
