The phone interview process was difficult to say the least. The recruiter was very disorganized, for instance, I live on the east coast and applied for a job in VA she was in Denver, CO, we scheduled a meeting for 4pm but she failed to tell me EST or MST. I had to move around a lot of meetings and other events that I had planned just for a phone call with a recruiter. Unacceptable. When it was time to schedule my face to face interview she also failed to confirm with them that the date and time was acceptable. Then she had the nerve to reschedule after I moved some meetings around and said that this is a "tentative" interview schedule after I specifically told her to make sure that she confirms. Again unacceptable on many levels.
The face to face "I thought" went well, the 2 employees I spoke with asked me the right questions and I felt that I was a fit. Interview lasted for over an hour and I thought I would get an offer but I didn't and was told that "I do not have enough leadership experience". Based on my experience and what was on my resume its hard for me to believe that so I feel that this company was not completely honest with me.
Its also commonplace to let the candidate know if he isn't fit, that's what I typically do when I am doing the hiring process. I had to send an email a week after to get a status. Again...unacceptable and unprofessional.
