Right when I walked into the door I could tell this place was a bit of a mess, no clip board to right on or any surface to fill out the 3-4 forms before I even sat down and talked, wasn't a good first impression.
I went to interview for Network Engineer but immediately they really they wanted me to work help desk which is a significantly lower pay. They acted as if I applied for help desk right as I sat down and I immediately brought this up thinking this might have been a mistake. Manager rebutted this saying the position is an extremely broad one. I agreed I might be open to the help desk if the pay was competitive but after this point I was pretty sure it wasn't going to be.
They disregarded my previous field experience as insignificant compared to what they offer, tried to defend the low pay with a bonus system they wouldn't explain to me, basically anything to make me feel worth less or take less than what I thought I was worth.
Agreed that I might be interested if the pay was competitive, but the offer was predictably on the low end. Perhaps I would have been interested in working my way up and proving my worth/skills but the antics, deflection and lies left me with a bad impression.
Some of the staff seemed cool at least, if you're a gamer you'll fit in here. Heard a guy talk about his world of Warcraft build while I was filling out my forms. However, this place wasn't for me and I declined the offer they made.
I think if you're out of a community college and pretty green and nerdy you'll get some use out of this place. Avoid if you have previous experience and certiifcations
