The process took two months. Five interviews total, and a 6th meeting to inform me that I did not receive the position.
Honestly, they could have consolidated the interviews down to three, and not have dragged the process out so long. They kept in constant contact through email asking if I was interviewing anywhere else, salary expectations for my region, and they sent full benefits information. It was the longest, most pointless interview process I have ever been through.
The final email to meet back with the hiring manager also felt misleading. They scheduled a 30 minute meeting to inform me that I wasn’t selected, based on criteria that if they were concerned, could have eliminated me much earlier in the process. That final meeting took three minutes and could have been an email. It was an odd experience for a such a small organization and non-executive role. It was mentally exhausting and going forward, I hope they consider the toll it takes on applicants.
