I got the opportunity to speak with the GM over the phone and was then invited for an in-person interview. After the in-person interview, I was told I would receive a call from the Director of Marketing, and they emphasized how important it was to respond to her promptly — a clear sign that they value quick communication and professionalism.
Ironically, after I followed up to ask whether I should still expect that call or if they had decided to move forward with other candidates, I received no response at all. No update, no closure — just silence.
It’s disappointing to be told that prompt communication is expected from candidates, only for the company to go silent without extending the same courtesy. It made me feel like my time and interest in the role weren’t respected.
