I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cracker Barrel (San Antonio, TX) in Jan 2018
Interview
When you get to the store you can tell the host you have an interview. Then the manager comes out and you sit at a table and they ask questions like why you want to be a server and why cracker barrel. Then if they like you they call another manager and he interviews you with similar questions. After that they tell you whether you get the job or not and they email you the background check. Then they call you about a week later for training.
The interview was easy. They know most of these servers are just starting out. But they want you to know how to upsell, and how to work in a fast pace environment.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cracker Barrel (Shrewsbury, PA) in Nov 2025
Interview
It went pretty well, just asked the norm, such as tell me a little about yourself and why do you want to work here. Just asked simple questions and told me I had the job and what day to come in next. I applied to be a server and they told me I would get 25 hours a week, but they ended up making me a to-go specialist and I’m getting like 6 hours a week. I also didn’t get scheduled for a month after my interview but I’m working a bit now.
