Interview
My experience with Creative Resources can be described as nothing other than a fiasco. I was contacted by a company recruiter about this position and was asked for an interview. Given my background and resume, I was overqualified for the position, but I was still grateful for the opportunity. I went through a total of 4 interviews with Russell Poucher and his team. I believed them to be pleasant as I breezed through them, but everything changed once they sent the offer letter. First of all, the offer letter had a much lower salary than the listing as well as no benefits whatsoever until 90 days. I believed my value and time to be more important than the pitiful offer they made, so I requested negotiations about the offer. I discussed with Russell Poucher for half an hour to argue my case to reach a mutually beneficial agreement for a revised offer letter, The meeting ended with Russell saying he'll "think it over". The very next day, Russell denied my request, but the worst part came next. I replied to his email about if the initial offer was still available, but he rescinded the offer with no explanation given whatsoever, I politely asked for any feedback on my interview process and some explanation for the reasoning of the job offer being retracted. Russell displayed such a drastic change in tone and demeanor after our civil negotiations of the job offer. Initially, he was pleasant to meet with. He was approachable and responsive to the communications I sent. I am now left dumbfounded about how this man I once held in high regard has refused to acknowledge my request for feedback or explain his decision. When writing this, there has been complete silence from Russell's end for 5 days. I followed up with an email yesterday and called the office today. Instead of being met with appreciation for my interest in the role, I was instead rudely denied and told that "I am not owed an explanation whatsoever", despite driving out to 2 on-site interviews and 3 online meetings. I have never been so insulted and offended by a company's gross disregard for extending basic human empathy. I would not recommend anyone to work or even interview with this company.

Interview
The interview went quite well at first. She wanted someone to create custom modules, as well as other day to day development. Security, maintenance...
Once the initial interview was over, I did some research only to find that the software she was using was a proprietary environment. Where any customizations needed could only be done by her software provider. They did offer a API service (Still in the build stage). However, she was adamant in not going the API route. Thus, there wasn't really a position for me... They need to do their dual diligence before going out to hire someone for a give position.

Pretty straightforward, meet directly with the owner of the company and discuss your background like any other position. The owner makes you take a personality test which he uses heavily to decided if you are a good fit.
