I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Credit Genie in Nov 2024
Interview
30 min call with a recruiter
45 min call with head of the team
4 technical interviews with members of the team
A call with Chief People Officer
A call with CEO
Everyone was very communicative and detailed in answering my questions which I really appreciated. The team was generally less interested in live coding and more interested in how I was thinking through problems. I was asked a mix of technical and non-technical questions. Overall, I had a great experience and ultimately accepted an offer.

Question 1
They walked me through a technical problem they had faced and asked how I would solve it.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Credit Genie (Plymouth Meeting, PA) in Jan 2025
Interview
The interview process consisted of five rounds: an initial HR screening, a conversation with the Data Team Director, a technical Superday with the data team, followed by interviews with the CPO and CEO. The overall experience was very positive. As a startup, the company prioritizes soft skills and culture fit over extensive live coding, focusing instead on problem-solving, past experiences, collaboration, and curiosity. The process took about a month, and I ultimately accepted the offer. My final interview was onsite, allowing me to meet the CEO and the team in person, which reinforced the company’s strong emphasis on teamwork and alignment with its values.
