*I APPLIED IN LATE OF JUNE 2020. THIS WILL GIVE YOU SOME INSIGHT AS TO WHY YOU SHOULD NOT APPLY FOR THIS COMPANY. I REPEAT, I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU APPLY FOR THIS COMPANY. YOU HAVE BEEN FOREWARNED*
I applied for Crossover for the L1 Customer Service Rep role. The whole dang recruitment process is, imo, pretty ridiculous. For this role, you need to take a CCAT test [3rd test] (Google what it is, it's like a logical, maths and English test. You have to answer 50 questions in 15 minutes). Then, you move on to the English test [4th test] (repeat what the audio recordings are saying), then a Skills Assessment test [5th test] where they ask you about questions about SaaS products. Finally, you have to download their stupid CMS software DNN (look it up on reddit, people hate this software) AND solve 6 real life customer tickets. [this is the 6th test and both segments are combined]. All that will take ~approximately 7 hours to do.
So I did. I did them all, and during the 6th part of the process, their recruiter called me and informed I was the 'top 5% candidate for this role'. Wow - I thought I had nailed all 5 tests. And then, I took a long time to do the 6th part and the website informed me that I had passed the minimum requirement for this part. So I thought I was getting an interview......NOPE. They informed me, 2 days later, that I had failed.
I was confused. But nevertheless, I asked for feedback. Of course, Crossover being pieces of garbage, did not want to disclose WHY THEIR CANDIDATES FAILED, DESPITE WASTING A LOT OF TIME DOING THEIR TERIBLE TESTS. I emailed them back demanding the reason, so they did. Turns out that they told me that I had failed the English, Skill Assessments, and the Real Life tests (4th,5th and 6th section of the process). Strangely, the recruitment website had indicated that I had passed every single segment of the test (minimum requirement).
Yes. THIS is Crossover. All the negative reviews you read here are probably correct. During those exams, they requested permission to monitor your screen, audio + webcam. They want the 'top 1% of candidates' - and also want to grossly underpay you (...unless you live in a 3rd world country, but in Australia, their wages are garbage for the difficulty of the interview process and this role). No superannuation benefits, and you have to figure out your taxes on your own. And you might be thinking, "Oh, this guy’s just angry that they didn't get the interview". Nope - I don't care about their interview. Well, after they treated me, not anymore. My only regret is NOT listening to the reviews here and wasting a lot of my time doing their stupid tests. From what I read, if you're lucky enough to get hired (may God save your soul) they will still treat you like a sub-human robot monkey, with constant webcam surveillance, no job security (you are as replaceable as the next candidate), crazy targets and KPI's as well as working for a terrible company with terrible culture.
Again, if after all this you're still thinking about going for it, more power to you. But just remember, I warned you....and the hundreds of people here as well.
