I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Crosstide (London, England) in Apr 2023
Interview
A session with the talent team to prove that you're a human. A pairing session to prove that you can code, that you're a pleasant pairing partner, and that you have a test-first approach. A ways-of-working session with directors to confirm that you're the sort of person they want to represent the organisation with clients.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Crosstide
Interview
The process involves an initial screening call with a recruiter, followed by a 60 min pairing exercise and a subsequent 60 min discussion with a director and the chief of staff. The entire interview was quick positive and very well coordinated.

Interview
Swift and efficient process compared to other companies. There was an initial phone call from lovely Ben from the talent team... during my career, I probably had hundreds of screen calls, but this one really stood out as it was a genuine conversation and not just somebody filling up a form somewhere. They really did their homework and understood my profile very well This was followed by a pairing session with one of their engineers. Usually, I'm not too fond of live coding and pairing sessions as I get quite nervous but they made me feel very comfortable and respected. The last stage was an interview with two crew directors who also were well prepared and made it a very engaging and stimulating conversation. Talked mostly about my experience and how it would fit into their landscape but they were very honest and transparent about what to expect from the company and the role itself.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions were mostly about my past experience, personality and ways of working.
