Straight forward competency interview using the civil service competencies. There was also a scenario exercise that I was given time to research and to then present my findings to the panel.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Crown Prosecution Service (Birmingham, England)

I was given a case study to review before the interview. Then went into the interviewer and was asked to present a bail application. Was also asked to advise on what offences may be applicable to the case study. Then was asked various competency based questions. Panel of 3.

Interviewed by 3 people - given a case study you saw 30 minutes before and told to plan a presentation - quite daunting - need to know all aspects of law including evidence and bail as well as cps policies
