Initial admin/theory: - Tacho card download - Cards/right to work scans - Licence check - Swab and breathalyser drug and alcohol tests - 4 paper theories covering: > WTD/EU Driver's hours > Road signs/markings > Vehicle height maths & bridge strike procedure > 1 very short paper I'm blanking on. Possibly on road conduct, safe driving basically Physical assessment: - Vehicle checks - Tacho card intro (I'm a new pass) - Half coupling to fridge trailer - Trailer checks - 20/30 min road ride - Reverse back into original bay - If assessor is happy, brief 15-20 min interview about the nature of the role, brief summary of work history, when you can start, salary, your questions: brass tacks basically. All in all, a very straightforward no-nonsense process, very refreshing. And they have unlimited free coffees from the vending machines :)))
