Extremely Unprofessional Interview Process – Complete Disregard for Candidates’ Time
I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with this company deserves to be shared. I was contacted and given extremely short notice for an interview — roughly five hours — and still made the effort to accommodate it. To do so, I rearranged my work schedule and shifted existing commitments, which any working professional knows is not trivial.
Within the first five minutes of the call, the interviewer stated that my resume did not match the role and immediately ended the interview. This was information that could have been determined days earlier with even the most basic screening. Instead, the company waited until the interview itself to discover this, demonstrating either complete disorganization or a total lack of respect for candidates’ time.
What made this even more disappointing was the casual attitude about it — no apology, no ownership, no acknowledgment that the situation wasted my time. If this is how the company handles something as simple as scheduling and screening, it raises concerns about their overall professionalism, internal communication, and attention to detail.
In a competitive market, companies often talk about the importance of “candidate experience.” Unfortunately, this company seems to have missed the memo entirely. Scheduling at the last minute, failing to perform basic resume-role alignment, and then dismissing a candidate within minutes is not just inefficient — it’s disrespectful.
If you value a well-run hiring process, clear communication, or basic professionalism, I would advise approaching this organization with caution. There are plenty of companies that know how to recruit without wasting people’s time.
