I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Currys (London, England) in Jan 2018
Interview
Very easy to apply for this Grad scheme. I applied online simply with my CV on their Careers site. Passed the initial screening and then got an email asking me to complete some online tests. The focus of this assessment is on your ability to understand and interpret a range of written, numerical and abstract information. The second part is a behaviour questionnaire called Factors, which is untimed and explores your behaviour and preferences at work.
I then got a phone call saying I was successful in the tests and am being progressed to the next part in the application process - the telephone interview. I was told that no initial preparation was required, but I still researched into the company, its values etc, just in case!
Phone call day: spoke to a very lovely lady who was calming and helped put my nerves at rest. Even had a bit of light banter to ease the call (I really appreciate that if you're reading this lol)! The questions were regarding my responses to the behaviour tests that I had done online. So for mine it was about working habits and why I work the way I do, and how that has benefited me with my work. For example "You said that you aren’t very creative and are more of a logigcal / methodical person – how do you think that will help you in your time at Dixons Carphone?"
Was not the easiest of interviews as there is no right / wrong, you simply have to justify your behavioural traits with prior experience and why you work the way you do, but definitely nothing to worry about. Just talk about what you've done in the past and why it was successful.
I am now waiting to hear back from them.
