Curve Software Engineer interview questions

The process was a bit backwards. Applied on their website. Then I exchanged a couple of emails with a recruiter from the company, and we scheduled a technical interview. The interview was a chat with 2 backend engineers. They were generally pretty nice but didn't seem especially knowledgeable or motivated. We discussed my experience, the tech I've used, etc. Then, literally on the same day, I got an email saying they would like to progress me further, and that the next step would be an HR call, which was weird, as that's usually the very first interview in the process. The interview just went through my motivation to join the company and what my general experience was. I was essentially rejected after this interview, which was surprising since I allegedly passed the technical one.

Nice process with a tech discussion and a system design interview. Recruiter initially seemed to try to make to process as fast as possible but this end up in a hault.
