Cypress.io interview questions

Everyone I was in contact with at Cypress was kind, professional and transparent. The hiring manager wasn't able to conclude the interview process for reasons outside his control, and he still kept the interview to tell me in person rather than have a recruiter send an anonymous form email. Even if I don't wind up working there one day, I wish these folks all the best-they're super professional and kind.

Applied online, I believe there was a total of 6 rounds, I made it through 3. I spoke first with a recruiter which went well, then I spoke with who would be my manager. Lastly, I spoke with two CSM's who would have been my peers. As a hiring manager in some of my roles, I have always discouraged peer interviews for two reasons. First, the current CSMs could give a bad review because they feel threatened and don't want someone to come in and look better then them. But also because while they understand what it looks like to do the job they often times don't have much HR or interview training. So anyone that they "don't like" or don't answer things in a way they prefer they will say that person is not fit for the role. I had literally taken a course and spent money on that course on the cypress language. I have been a QA lead, so for the most part my team did the automation and I did not have to build it, but I know how to build it. Asking random tech questions is not an efficient gauge of what someone knows. This should be done via a project to show and prove what I can physically do.
