      Interview

I am deeply disappointed with my experience with Cytora's recruitment process. It started with a technical interview filled with challenging questions, which I successfully navigated. Following that, I completed a home test and the following review interview, which I also passed successfully. After these rigorous steps, I was invited for a final cultural fit interview, which seemed to go well. However, I was then abruptly rejected with the feedback that my Python skills were not sufficient. This is confusing and frustrating, given that I had already passed all the previous technical assessments. It feels like my time was wasted and the rejection was based on inconsistent criteria. If my Python skills were inadequate, this should have been identified much earlier in the process. Moreover, throughout the process, it became apparent that Cytora is in the very early stages of software development, lacking organization and structure. The team members I interacted with seemed to have low skill levels and did not inspire confidence in the company's technical capabilities. This experience has left me with a very negative impression of Cytora's hiring practices and overall competency.

Thank you for the feedback and sorry to hear about the negative experience you have had interviewing here at Cytora. We do hire at an extremely high level especially for the software engineering team as we are innovating and pushing the boundaries regarding the products that we offer to digitise risk. Although Python skills is what we look for, we are evaluating you against other languages we use in our stack as well and want to ensure we hire the right individuals. Happy to provide further detailed feedback regarding your interview and technical assessment if you get in touch with the Talent lead. Thank you, Cytora Talent Team

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cytora (London, England) in Feb 2023

      Interview

Enjoyable first round interview, after which I was invited to the take-home technical test. The test took a few hours of my time. After submission, I was informed that Cytora would like to progress me to the next round of interviews. I gave availability and then I never heard back. So that's 3 hours of my life wasted on a tech test for a company that cannot be bothered to communicate and just decides to ghost candidates. I would avoid Cytora unless you enjoy having your time wasted.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cytora (London, England) in Oct 2020

      Interview

I had a call with the HR person after they approached me on LinkedIn. The call was really good and light, talked a little bit about my experience, my expectations, etc. The second part was an interview with some people from the engineering team. The interview was okay. They asked a few questions about how to solve an issue. After that, said I'd receive a call with the results (if I passed or not) and they never called me. They messaged me saying they'd call 3 times and never did... Isn't it just simple to have a 5 mins call or an email saying I didn't pass?
