I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at DECIEM (Toronto, ON) in Nov 2019
Interview
My had both of my interviews at the new HQ in Liberty village. My first interview was with an HR coordinator. When I arrived, I had to call to get buzzed into the building since they are still going through renovations and they do not have a reception area. The HR coordinator picked me up and took me to a table to sit at in the middle of an open concept office. After about a 15 minute wait, the HR rep came back to the table and we conducted the interview right there. It was a little awkward to know that everyone could hear me but you do eventually forget. The interview was easy and general and the HR Coordinator was very friendly.
After that first interview, I got a call that night from my recruiter and was asked to come in the next day to interview with 2 of the QA managers. It was a bit tricky to get into the building since the HR coordinator was busy and away from her phone but I eventually got in with the help of some other employees. Thankfully, my interview was in a closed room this time. The interview was more technical in nature and pleasant. The managers were very transparent about the growing pains of a fast growing company and the stress that comes with it. I received an offer about a week later but turned down the offer due to the salary.
The office staff are allowed to bring their dogs into the office so keep this in mind if you are allergic or not fond of dogs.
