I was contacted by an external recruiter and had about two calls with them. Once with the recruiter and one with the owner of the agency as the role was so senior. I initially wasn't sure about the role since its in office 5 days a week and my current role is quite flexible and pays well. I was assured that I was the best fit for the role and so I went for the in person interview. It took about 4 hours out of my day. The interview itself was good. The hiring manager was incredibly nice and the style of interviewing was good. I was told I would need to complete psychometrics and then maybe have one more interview. The psychometrics themselves took another 4 hours to complete. I was ghosted after that. I never received any feedback which leaves a bitter taste after committing 8 hours of my time. Some human decency and communation would have gone a long way.
