      General Manager, Digital Interview

      14 Oct 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Denver, CO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at DISH (Denver, CO) in Sept 2013

      Interview

I was expecting to write a glowing review - even if I didn't get the job. The internal recruiter was fantastic. The interview process is tedious with all the tests but i had good communication throughout. It's just an investment I considered worthwhile. I met in person with them twice plus phone conversations and 5 tests totally about 3 hours. They flew me out for a final round (I was told between 2 final candidates). The questions were less about your experience and clearly designed to see how you react. But that's all ok. I enjoyed everyone I met with - Marketing is clearly on the path to positive change under James Moorehead's leadership. Can't say enough good things about meeting with him. However, my experience ended like a great second date, where the person never calls. Not one of my thank you email's got a response. But beyond that, after they flew me out and I took 2 days of my own personal time to meet with them - they never even bothered to email or call to let me know if I had the job or not? Incredibly unprofessional. I'd say 90% of the process was good but it's the last 10% that was so completely shocking l that I could't rate them as positive by any stretch.
