I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at DMV.org (Encinitas, CA)
Interview
Seems to be a trend with the interview process. DMV.org makes you come in several times to make sure you are the right fit for the company, sacrificing personal time at your other job, only to not get a courtesy call letting you know whether you've been approved or denied the position.
Piece of advice to DMV.org: we interviewees sacrifice our time to meet your interview needs. Please have respect for us who take the time off to make it happen. Respond, communicate, and be pro-active. Nothing is more frustrating during an interview process when you don't hear back from someone, even if we are denied the position.
To string individuals along that far and then not hear from you again is disrespectful and does not match the culture that DMV.org is trying to portray.
Beyond not getting a response, the interview process is as follows:
Technical interview, Phone interview, in-person interview with direct manager, in-person interview with HR, in-person interview with a group to have causal conversation and ask questions.
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to provide us with your feedback. We sincerely appreciate your review and enjoyed getting to know you through the interview process. While our process may be a bit longer than most, we want to ensure that our candidates are a good fit for DMV.ORG, and we also want to ensure that we're the right company for you! We definitely will make a strong effort to follow up with our candidates, regardless of the outcome. Again, thank you for allowing us to have the opportunity to improve. All the best to you.
