Met with head of Safety. Interview went well. I was asked what salary I desired. (none was listed on the job posting). He simply wrote it down and said we would inform HR. I never heard back. After repeated inquiries he finally emailed me back to say they couldn't meet my salary. I said it is hard to discuss pay when there is no range provided. He agreed and blamed it on the company. It would have been nice to have a discussion about the pay....maybe we were close.
