      Principal Technical Advisor Interview

      2 Dec 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at DataDome in Nov 2025

      Interview

Over the course of a month I spoke to the internal recruiter, then the CTO. Both interviews went well and I was proceeded to the case study portion of the interview. The assignment was described up-front as taking up to an entire week of effort. The "case study" was actually 4 usable deliverables: (1) A set of slides for onboarding junior customer service personnel. (2) Prep for an active support issue with one of their current clients. This active issue was described as a current headache during the interview. (3) A unique idea to improve their product, expressed as a "memo" to their product team with effort and timeline estimates included. This was intended to address the active prospect problem described during the interview as a real revenue-related issue. (4) Sales prep for a call with a major active prospect. This prospect was mentioned during the interview as well. This assignment was presented to me on a Tuesday, due the following Monday. I completed it on-time. 8 days later (33 days after initial contact), I was rejected without comment. Based on the other glassdoor reviews I see here, this company seems to have a history of using people for free work. I'm honestly a little blown away at the unprofessionalism. Marking the interview as "easy" because it WAS easy. Maybe everyone makes it to the real-work assignment.
