In some cases, roles tied to state or government systems do require submission through an official portal, and our recruiters aim to guide applicants through those requirements while coordinating directly with the client when applicable. We understand, however, that this may not have been clearly communicated upfront in your case, and we apologize for any confusion this caused.
Regarding the request for identification, we take candidate privacy and security very seriously. Any such request should always be clearly explained, including why it is needed and how the information will be used and protected. We regret that this did not come across appropriately and will address this internally to ensure better communication moving forward.
