I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Datadog (New York, NY) in Jun 2017
Interview
Initially contacted by 3rd party recruiter. Completed first meeting with hiring manager under the guise they were ready to proceed with hiring immediately. Was told I was well past the requirements for the position and they wanted to meet me immediately.
Was given a technical challenge and explained to complete in the manner I saw fit. The 3rd party recruiter recommended I submit the technical challenge to him and he forked it from github. He then proceeded to send me *ANOTHER* users github/datadog challenge. I was shocked at how unprofessional that was and immediately stopped the interview process.
Why this hiring process is not done internally really surprises me.

Smooth, fast and organized all the way through. Met with Hiring manage, SC lead, Peers and asked to meet a handful of others, which they accommodated as well - super organized and structured and professional.
