I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Datadog (New York, NY) in Oct 2020
Interview
The interview process consisted of a phone screen, take home assignment and a final round.
The phone screen included 2 fairly straightforward LC Easy type questions. It felt more like a conversation than an interview which was pleasant. The interviewer was very friendly.
The take home was manageable, more tedious than difficult.
The final round consisted of three sessions: coding, system design and project discussion.
Coding:
LC Medium style question with a follow up. I had an hour to solve it which was very helpful, I didn't feel pressured for time. The interviewer was very friendly and helpful.
I asked him for a hint for the follow up which he gave.
System Design:
Classic System Design type interview. Luckily I saw a variant of this question before. The interview went well overall although my discussion was weak in two areas.
The recruiter explained this later and it affect my offer.
Project Discussion:
Deep dive into a past project. Questions were design oriented and technical.

Other Software Engineer interview reviews for Datadog
One knowledge interview and one technical interview afterwards. Knowledge was fine. During the tech one, the interviewer was not listening. The problem was a standard one. Got rejected after second round.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Knapsack problem with coins, solved via dynamic programming
