Interview
The whole process is lengthy but it was fairly quick.
I applied through the referral program, so a Datadog employee applied for me as a referral.
1. Interview with the recruiter.
The recruiter will have a quick call with you to explain the position, and to hear from you, your experiences and what technologies your familiar with. The recruiter is not technical so you just need to mention the technologies and you level of experiences.
2. Interview with Manager
After the recruiter you will have a interview with one of the managers to understand better your cv and go through your experiences indepth.
3. Hackerrank
You will be given a link to access and answer the questions. You have 2 hours to complete the part once you click on start. Questions involve setting up the Datadog Agent, SQL question and Bash scripts.
4. Interview on site
Last you a 3 rounds of interview back to back in the office you're applying for. First interview is based on behavioural questions (tell me about a tough customer interaction) and your CV and experiences. Second a troubleshooting part where you have a current TSE pretending to be a customer with problems configuring their agent.
Third is an interval with the director, more relaxed conversation about your experiences and to see your personality
As I said before the interview process is lengthy but they always got back to me fairly quickly and provided documentations to study for each part of the hiring process.

I applied online, and a recruiter from Singapore reached out by email. They outlined the process as: 1. Hackerrank; 2. Interview with hiring manager (Functional background / projects / tools, Why support engineering role?); 3. Interview with other engineers on the team (Scenario based, How to handle multiple tickets, How to deal with difficult customers); 4. Live troubleshooting round (Role play how to act -- Ask questions on what they’re facing right now, Documentation provided during interview); 5. Director connect (Career goals, How datadog can help).
