I applied online. I interviewed at Datarails (New York, NY) in Jun 2023
Interview
Since Glassdoor wants to keep taking down my reviews because of reasons, I'll have to be intentionally vague here.
First interview was fine. A simple introductory call with a PERSON. Second interview was enjoyable. This PERSON was friendly and engaged. We had a good rapport. Third PERSON was unprofessional and completely wasted my time. IT/THEY seemed distracted and kept yawning throughout the call. Questions he asked made it very clear he hadn't even looked at my resume. I almost ended the interview halfway through because I'd lost any desire to continue at that point. But I'm glad I didn't because I got to watch him trip over basic questions toward the end of the call. Overall, a very strange experience. However, based on the employee reviews, I'm not surprised at all.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad parts of the process were positive, but sorry to hear one stage left you with a different impression.
We take candidate experience seriously and expect our interview process to reflect the professionalism and preparation we value as a company. While one interaction can understandably shape perception, it does not represent the standard we aim to deliver across our teams.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
The process included four stages: an initial recruiter screen, a conversation with the hiring manager, a C-suite interview, and a final round back with the hiring manager. Each step was professional and structured. The recruiter focused on background and role alignment. The hiring manager dug into sales process, pipeline management, and deal strategy. The final round revisited performance metrics and cultural fit. Communication was clear throughout, and expectations were set upfront.

We work hard to create an interview experience that gives candidates clear expectations while allowing for meaningful conversations about both role fit and long-term success. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and wish you the very best moving forward.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Datarails (London, England) in Jan 2026
Interview
Datarails reached out to me on Linkedin about the role and after over a month-long process involving three interviews and a two-hour Excel test I received a generic automated rejection email. The lack of respect for candidates’ time and effort at the final stage was shocking
