I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Deb Group (Denby, England) in Feb 2016
Interview
Had to under go an observation test which was a bit extreme for the position, anyway the staff handling the test were very poor on their communication to me on what to do in the test, that said I completed the test which involved checking contents of a sample case against some photographs and a numbered list, you had to check the correct product code against the list (these are very small indeed) also check the quality of the product at the same time ( this was not communicated to me so thought it was a separate task) there was 19 items and apparently you have 10 mins. After that you have to feed a roll of stickers into a gun following a SOP then do a questionier on that. The staff then go outside and argue the toss on whether your good enough to be put through to interview ( not very professional) as I could hear them.
They said I PASSED the test I got 100% and was the only one to do it , but I took too long WORK THAT ONE OUT. How can you pass test and not go through to interview, I knew someone else who attended and they told me they didn't do half what I did, yet got interview and whilst doing the test they were promoted about time (I was not).
I have years of previous experience running face paced machinery filling lines yet wasn't asked anything. They said my attention to detail was phenomenal and would be more suited to quality position ( alarm bells rang) they may as well told me I was not the age group they want. Needless to say didn't do much for my confidence.
