The interview process at Debox was a complete hassle. They lack a structured recruitment team and rely on senior employees—who are already overwhelmed—to conduct interviews. This led to multiple delays, reschedules, and a complete lack of accountability.
Despite having an official email chain confirming scheduled interviews, the senior team member repeatedly failed to show up on time, delayed follow-up responses, and failed to provide timely feedback even after committing to do so. At one point, he even admitted that he was intentionally trying to “scare me” about the role, citing 12-14 hour workdays and 18 days of travel per month—which raises serious concerns about the company’s work culture.
While I maintained my professionalism throughout, it’s clear that Debox does not respect candidates' time or efforts. If they claim to be hiring but have no proper process in place, it speaks volumes about how they operate internally. I would not recommend considering this company for opportunities. Just a pure waste of my time and energy.
