      NLP Engineer Interview

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      I interviewed at DeepScribe

      Interview

I passed the initial resume screen and they sent me a take-home project to complete within 5 days. It consisted of using NLP techniques to transcribe and summarize a text. I sent it in on the fourth day, responding to the initial email. No response for a week. I'm sure they are busy during recruiting season, so I send another email with my submission. It has been over two months now, and they haven't looked at my submission, let alone opened my email. If you were going to interview candidates, make them do a take-home, and then never have any intention of opening it, then you should say so in the beginning. I was really interested in this company but after this I can't recommend them really to anyone. How unprofessional.
