I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Deliveroo (London, England) in Jan 2019
Interview
I have to start by saying that my experience with Deliveroo from beginning to end was a very pleasant one with the company demonstrating since the first contact that they care about people and want them to have a good experience when joining the company.
The entire process took roughly 2 months because I had a vacation trip planned right in the middle of the process which slowed it down.
During the entirety of the process the recruiter sent me feedback, aligned on the expectations for the next step and what was required from my end to prepare for the next interview.
After doing the initial screening and going through an online coding session I was invited to an onsite interview in London where I had another set of interviews including behavioral, management and leadership practices and technical design.
All the interviews were well structure and the interviewers were really good on setting the mood and conducting the interview.
I managed to receive an offer from Deliveroo but I had to decline it for personal reasons but even after declining the offer the company kept in touch and tried to support me the best they could to try and solve some of the issues I had that made me decline the offer which were completely unexpected and once again showed how much they care about people.
I really recommend this company to anyone looking for their next opportunity as they clearly are on the right track and have a lot of growth potential!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One of the most interesting sessions I had, not really a question, was a role play session on how I dealt with a low performer on my team.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Deliveroo (New Delhi)
Interview
Interviews well organized. Total 5 rounds . Complexity was medium. Had a very good discussion with the panelist . Not sure why they rejected. Recruiter support was not that great .

Question 1
leadership and behavioral and architecture interview should be open ended but didn't feel the same thing while interviewing
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Deliveroo (London, England) in Apr 2021
Interview
Great! Very professional and organised, reasonably challenging, with superb support from the recruitment personnel and from the interviewers. No nonsense. The interviewers were a very technical, experienced, pragmatic and impressively motivated group of people! From their questions and from their answers to my own questions I was able to build a picture of the Company, the opportunities available and their most pressing needs. It seems to be a great place to work.

Question 1
Questions are confidential. Expect to speak in details about your previous experience and the skills you declare to have.
1 - phone call with the in-house recruiter
2 - on site interview with line manager
3 - on site interview with technical interview
4 - day on site, interviews covering technical, managerial and soft skills
All the interviewers were very knowledgable and friendly. During that all day onsite I had a number of normal face to face interviews and 3 role playing sessions focussing on managerial style, people skills and problem resolution.
Through the whole process I was kept up to date with progress and overall it was a very good interview experience.
