I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Deliveroo (London, England) in Mar 2021
Interview
Initial interview with Talent
Second interview with Product Leader
1 week task - Amazon style 6 pager - Marked and sent back with feedback
4 x 45 minute interviews to follow with various Product and Engineering leaders
At the beginning I was told there were lots of opportunities, so the interviews were not very specific. Throughout the process roles were taken internally, and only one role remained, this was really disappointing as the process is quite cumbersome if I had known the exact role on offer I could have applied myself and my preparation better.

I interviewed at Deliveroo (Hyderābād)
Interview
Very clear and quick process. Friendly interviewers. HR interview to assess fit, followed by interview with hiring manager on my past Product Management experience going into details of specific examples. Once I cleared that, then a loop round that included a Product Sense interview, a behavioral interview, and a Deliveroo specific case interview. HR kept me informed at every step of the process and gave helpful feedback and prep tips.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What was a product feature that you built that didn't meet expectations or failed, and what did you learn from it?
Great process, everyone @ Deliveroo was very knowledgeable and helpful during the process.
Classic behavioural questions and a lot of interest in impact, plus some product sense and analytics interviews.
Would highly recommend it.
I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Deliveroo (London, England) in Sept 2023
Interview
Initial screening interview with recruiter Written exercise - 6 pages content, over a week This exercise was basically a product discovery, you'd normally run with a team and input from stakeholders over 6-8 weeks. Personally, it took me over 20hrs in total to do it justice. 3 specialist interviews - 1hr Product Sense - your grasp of business fundamentals and how products drive impact. - past achievements in product roles. - your ability to articulate and shape product strategy. - your capacity to analyse products from both customer and business perspectives. Case Review - This interview explored the offline assessment you completed. The interview reviewed your case and identify areas for improvement/gaps/strengths in your written work. Critical Thinking This interview will have you explore an ‘unseen’ Deliveroo-specific business case. It will require you to navigate a fictional case based on the Deliveroo marketplace with the interviewer. 1 final interview (I think, I didn't get this far) I assume this was final sign-off kinda thing.

Question 1
Describe a digital product/service you really like using. Then explain how you would improve it with a new feature. "You come in on Monday morning and you've had a dip in sales (in the above company, not Deliveroo) - explain how you'd investigate it"
Hey - sorry you didn't have a positive experience. I appreciate you taking the time to write it up, and it is pretty clear we can do a better job on time expectations for the case study. I hope we get an opportunity to cross paths again in the future
