I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Deliveroo (London, England) in Sept 2021
Interview
The process started with a coding interview with Karat. Once I received positive feedback from that I had four more interviews with Deliveroo employees: Systems Design, Behavioural, Leadership and Technical Project Walk Through.
Everyone I interacted with was friendly and conducted the interviews in a professional but relaxed way. The questions were appropriate for the role. The recruiter kept in regular contact throughout the process and made a genuine effort to ensure I had a good experience and deliver an offer that matched my expectations.
I ended up accepting a different offer because the role was more aligned with my interests.
I had only initial HR interview call, where we discussed my experience, their expectations for the role, etc. Dropped after HR screen after they told salary ranges. Deliveroo doesnt provide RSUs so total compensation is very small. Decided to save each other time.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Deliveroo in Mar 2025
Interview
Screening was done via hackerrank automated assessment. 15 multiple choice questions and 2 coding questions you need to solve in 90 minutes. Problems were easy and within 1 hour after submission I received an email from the recruiter that they would like to proceed. After I submitted my time slots for next interviews, both recruiters ghosted me even after I gave them a nudge couple of weeks after. I get that hiring situation can change, but ghosting looks unprofessional.
