      Assistant Flight Superintendent Interview

      3 Nov 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Atlanta, GA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 7 months. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA) in May 2018

      Interview

The specific bid that I applied for opened in April. I got the invite to come test and I did that in May. The test was a wonderlic assessment which wasn't hard at all. Tip: Answer all of the questions whether or not you know that it is correct. Also, guesstimate on the math. Your chances are higher to pass. I passed the test and went into the initial interview which was a standard interview. They have you answer basic HR questions (below) and a few dispatch questions in STAR format (below). About a month later (yes a month) they called and said that they would put me on a call back list for a second check up interview as they didn't have enough open spots. Okay fine. SIX MONTHS LATER - I get a call for a second interview. They gave me 2 options for interview dates. Both days I was scheduled to work so I took a holiday so that I could go to the "check up" interview. Still, I worked the night before so I was up since 20:30 the previous day. I get to the interview and it was as if they had never interviewed or even seen me before. They had no notes about my previous interview, so I had to redo the whole spiel. It was the most bizzare experience. Apparently the exact same interview a second time wasn't good enough. After being placed on a waiting list and being jerked around by their unprofessional HR representative, I was sent a decline email. THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE ENOUGH DECENCY TO CALL ME. I was under the impression that Delta was one of the best places to work, but considering that I was treated with such disrespect and blatant disregard, after being yanked around for 6 months, I honestly believe that I dodged a bullet. I will not be applying again for this position in the future. I will take my talent to a competing company.
