      Systems Engineer Interview

      23 Jun 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Pleasant Grove, UT
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Dental Intelligence (Pleasant Grove, UT) in May 2026

      Interview

The time between the first email of 'We'd like to move forward with you' to the rejection letter was seven weeks! There was a one-way video interview, two zoom call interviews, and a final in-person interview. The time between each of these was close to ten business days apart. The first zoom call was with two individuals, one of which was conducting a technical round of questions. When I stumbled on a single technical area, his attitude shifted and he became very rude. Very frustrating because it came off like he was questioning my honesty and torpedoing the interview. I wasn't hopeful of a second interview, but ten business days later, I got an email asking to schedule a second two-way round. The SRE was challenging with his technical questions, but was very respectful and I thought that interview went well. Another ten business days went by and then their HR emailed me that they intend to follow up with a third in-person interview with the hiring manager, who was OOO. Two weeks went by before I got the email to schedule the interview and I jumped on an early availability. That interview went well and the hiring manager said he would reach out to me with a final decision by the end of that week-- that never happened. Another 10 business days went by and I finally got a generic template rejection email. If a company is going to string someone out through four interviews over seven weeks, the very least that could be done is offer a call to provide feedback on what technical areas or skillsets I can improve on. So much time and effort into interview prep on advanced technical skillsets, only to be strung out and ghosted. Probably best it didn't work out, but a frustrating process.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We recognize that our interview process took longer than any of us would have liked, particularly for this highly specialized role, and we understand how frustrating that can be after investing so much time and preparation. We appreciate your feedback and are continually looking for ways to improve both our communication and candidate experience. We wish you the very best in your career and thank you again for your interest in Dental Intelligence.
